Most Other Industries are in Good Shape, Avoiding the Downturn

Again, The Kiplinger Editors have interesting data on Southern California.  It is important to mention because again, they are experts on California and their information is regional, not national.  What do they say?  Tourism is getting a huge boost because of how strong the Euro is right now.  “High tech will benefit from consumer demand for cell phones, games, and software.”  Kiplinger believes agriculture will benefit from foreign consumers buying more food.  Entertainment is counting on strong ad dollars for TV this fall.  Some areas will lag such as retail shopping centers and state and local governments.

Cool Way to Look for Homes - Have a Great Picture Ready

Posted by ericchristensen under: Housing and Economy; Buying a Home; Selling a Home.

Trulia has added features from Microsoft’s Virtual Earth to provide a very cool way to preview multiple homes - by photo - by map - by price group!  Called Trulia Snapshot, this stresses again the importance of Realtors advertising their client’s properties with the very best photo possible - as quickly as possible.  Also critical, as you will see, is the need for the Realtor to have her own contact information avaiable on the various sites consumers go to in the home search (e.g., Cyberhomes, Trulia).  I found the link through Peter Viles LA Times blog.  You can follow the details and explanation through Trulia’s blog.  Click on the photo below to see how it works in Yorba Linda, CA.
